The room was clean and quiet, good kitchen facilities and the staff were very welcoming with a well proportioned mix of polite helpfulness and respect for privacy. The only thing that might put you off is the distance to town, which is perhaps a twenty minute walk, but that takes you past a good view of the Shannon, and can be avoided by a frequent bus service from across the road, or of course a taxi. The land lady also offered to pick me up from the station before I arrived. So I would highly recommend the place and hope that I can stay again should Gloucester ever get back in to top flight European competition!
